Principal’s List Preschool has three locations and is the Acadiana area’s most premier and innovative childcare center. We provide our students with the highest quality of learning a child needs in order to have a lifetime of academic success. We also provide a safe, secure environment, a nurturing, professional staff, and the finest educational experiences. We are committed to providing a fun-filled, rewarding program that balances each child’s intellectual, physical, social, creative and emotional needs.
As the owner of Principal’s List Preschool, I bring a wealth of experience and a strong educational foundation to our program. I am a certified elementary teacher and a retired principal with a longstanding commitment to academic excellence. Throughout my career, I have been honored with several distinguished awards, including Lafayette Parish Teacher of the Year, Regional Teacher of the Year, and state finalist for Louisiana Teacher of the Year. I was also recognized as Elementary Principal of the Year at both the local and regional levels and later named a state finalist for Louisiana Principal of the Year. My husband is also a former educator and has spent the past decade working with companies specializing in publishing elementary and early childhood curriculum, and educational sales. Together, we are proud parents of two sons. Our oldest, Rivers, is a 2019 graduate of Dartmouth College, and our youngest, Princeton, is currently a student at Ascension Episcopal School.
My passion for education, combined with a dedication to fostering creativity and student success, inspired me to establish Principal’s List Preschool. It is my mission to provide families in the Acadiana area with a high-quality early childhood education that prepares students for lifelong learning beyond our classrooms. Get ready—your child will quickly share in our passion for learning! They’ll be guided by qualified, enthusiastic teachers and staff who are dedicated to their growth. Most importantly, your child will be genuinely loved and nurtured every step of the way during their time with us.
When hiring teachers, we prioritize candidates with substantial experience and/or formal training in early childhood education. All new hires are required to complete a comprehensive onboarding process, which includes orientation, on-the-job training, and thorough reference, background, and fingerprint checks. Additionally, they must complete Health & Safety courses, obtain certification in CPR and First Aid, and fulfill 12 hours of continuing education annually.
Our educators are expected to demonstrate professionalism at all times. This includes nurturing and engaging with children, delivering curriculum-based instruction, and developing detailed lesson plans. We are committed to maintaining a team of dedicated professionals who foster a safe, supportive, and enriching environment for every child.
